Custom Skills Framework
How an organisation moved its own SFIA-inspired framework out of spreadsheets and into TalentJam, without giving up the framework it had built.
THE CHALLENGE
This organisation had invested heavily in developing its own SFIA-inspired capability framework, but managing it across multiple spreadsheets had become increasingly difficult. Different teams maintained their own versions, data quality issues were common, and most commercial skills platforms could not support their customised framework.
THE APPROACH
Rather than changing the framework to fit the software, they migrated their existing framework into TalentJam.
THE OUTCOME
The result was immediate. Data quality issues disappeared, skills and performance reviews became much faster, and the organisation gained a single, trusted view of capability. At the same time, they retained their existing job descriptions and performance framework while bringing their role definitions into line with recognised industry practice.
